The Council on Occupational Education is a postsecondary accreditor of institutions that offer career and technical education. The Council is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national institutional accrediting agency for the accreditation of non-degree-granting and applied associate degree-granting postsecondary occupational education institutions.

In an effort to encourage input from potential employers and the general public, this survey has been designed for readers to rate the adequacy and relevancy of the objectives of the standards for accreditation of career and technical education institutions. [PLEASE NOTE:  This survey is NOT intended for Advisory Committees. The Advisory Committee Survey can be found on the “Resources” tab on the COE website, click on “Applications and Forms”. Scroll down to the sub-heading “Forms” and look under “Self-Study Forms for Institutions”. Click on Advisory Committee Survey Form; OR simply click the following link to be taken directly to the other survey: Advisory Committee Survey Form.]

After reviewing the objectives for each standard, please rank the standard as a whole with a rating of 1 through 5, with 1 being the least adequate or relevant. Text boxes are available after each question so that readers may provide the Council with comments and suggestions.

The results of this survey are reviewed annually by the Council’s Committees on Accreditation Standards and Conditions.
