GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

The purpose of this email is to update Council member institutions regarding several events and issues that have arisen because of COVID-19 restrictions.

All notices and documents that pertain to the COVID-19 outbreak are posted on the Council’s website (council.org) on the home page under ‘New and Events’.

If you have questions regarding these matters, please contact Council staff via email.

  1. Notification of Interruptions to Operations

On March 13, the Council distributed an email to the membership requesting notifications of changes to campus operations.

Please be sure to submit your notice to Cindy Sheldon ([email protected]) along with updates, as needed, should the operational schedules change in this very fluid environment.

  1. Summer Conference & Candidate Academies*

At this time, the Council is proceeding with plans to host its Summer Conference & Candidate Academies* in Wichita, Kansas July 16-17.

The Council continually reassesses the travel situation and various state travel bans and will keep the membership informed if changes to the Summer Conference & Candidate Academies* schedule occur.

More information regarding registration will be available on the COE website in mid-May.

  1. Application Deadlines

The upcoming deadline for submission of candidate and substantive change applications is April 16, 2020.

This deadline remains valid and determines the review agenda for the June, 2020 Commission meeting.

  1. Membership Dues Invoices for 2020-2021

Invoices for 2020-2021 membership dues will be distributed to candidate and accredited institutions via email to Chief Administrators and Liaison Officers near the end of April.

The deadline for submission of payment for annual membership dues is July 1, 2020.

To ensure that this information reaches appropriate persons, please confirm that your institution’s MyCouncil file contains accurate contact name and email address information for the Chief Administrator and Liaison Officer.
