
Vanessa Perez Sworn in as Commissioner for the Council on Occupational Education
Vanessa Perez, President of Make Utah in Pleasant Grove, UT, was sworn in as a Commissioner during the March Commission meeting held Thursday, March 5, in Atlanta, Georgia. In her new role, Commissioner Perez brings extensive leadership experience and expertise in educational program development to guide the Commission’s efforts in maintaining high standards of quality and institutional excellence.
As President of Make Utah, Perez has led initiatives focused on workforce development, STEM education, and community engagement, providing her with a deep understanding of the needs of educational institutions and the communities they serve. Her professional background and commitment to excellence position her to provide valuable guidance to the Commission and its member institutions.
Commissioners play a vital role in the work of the Council by offering leadership, governance, and professional expertise in the accreditation process. Their efforts help ensure that institutions meet rigorous standards of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
