Who are Team Member and Leader Volunteers and Why Are They Important to COE?
Team member and leader volunteers play a crucial role in the Council on Occupational Education’s (COE) accreditation process. These dedicated individuals assist the Commission in ensuring institutions comply with COE's rigorous Policies, Rules, Standards, and Conditions. While the Commission ultimately grants accreditation, the integrity of COE’s process heavily depends on the thorough evaluations conducted by team leaders and members from peer institutions.
What are Their Duties?
Team member and leader volunteers play a crucial role in the Council on Occupational Education’s (COE) accreditation process. These dedicated individuals assist the Commission in ensuring institutions comply with COE's rigorous Policies, Rules, Standards, and Conditions. While the Commission ultimately grants accreditation, the integrity of COE’s process heavily depends on the thorough evaluations conducted by team leaders and members from peer institutions.
Criteria for Becoming a Team Leader:
•Attend Commission-sponsored workshops (certification required and renewed every three years)
   •Team Leader Training
   •The Preliminary Visit
   •Team Report and Travel Expense
•Maintain an active EDvera account and up-to-date resume
•Sign the Conflict-of-Interest Statement
Criteria for Becoming a Team Member:
