
Dr. Kirk A. Nooks, President and CEO, Joins “Accreditation at a Crossroads” Panel at CECU Conference
Dr. Kirk A. Nooks, President and CEO of the Council on Occupational Education (COE), participated as a panelist at the Washington Briefing and Advocacy Day during the Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU) Conference, held at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco, in Washington, D.C. The conference convenes leaders from private, postsecondary career and technical education institutions, along with key stakeholders in accreditation, policy, and workforce development.
The panel, “Accreditation at a Crossroads: What’s Changing and What Comes Next”, explored the evolving landscape of accreditation, the challenges facing accreditors and institutions, and the future of higher education accreditation. Dr. Nooks shared insights on emerging trends, including the potential role of states in certain accreditation functions and the increasing focus on student outcomes and institutional accountability.
